
Fitbit Setup
Download the Fitbit app to begin pairing your device
Click for Android
Click for iOS
This guide will help you set up your Fitbit tracker and ensure that the PROMPT Study Team receives your data for the study.
To set up your Fitbit, your device must be at least 50% charged. Please note, a fully charged Fitbit will last up to 5 days!
1. Download the Fitbit app:

For iPhone users, use the App Store and press “Get”.​

For Android users, use the Google Store and press “Install”​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
​​2. Setup your account:​
-
(a) Ensure your Bluetooth is on. The app may ask for your permission when opening the app, please allow.

(b) Select Sign in with Google or Sign in with Fitbit (if you have a current account).
-
(c) If you are new to Fitbit, select “Continue as a new user”.
-
(d) Read and accept the Privacy Policy to proceed.

(e) Allow location access and your preferred notifications. Continue set-up process. ​​​​

​​​​​​​3. Set up your device:
-
(a) Click on “Add Device” and select Inspire 3 (under the Tracker tab).

(b) Click on “Start Setup” and agree to the Terms of Service.

(c) Your Fitbit tracker may need to update. It may need to be on the charger.​
-
(d) Your phone will search for your Inspire 3 and will prompt you to enter a 4-digit code found on your tracker’s display.​​

​(e) *Android only* Allow Fitbit to Find and Connect nearby devices.
-
(f) *iPhone only* You may see a pop-up for “Bluetooth Pairing Request,” select Pair.

(g) Select your preferred phone notifications and allow location by selecting “While using the app” and “Allow all the time” for Androids.​​​​​

​​4. Once you Inspire 3 is ready:

(a) Follow the instructions on the screen for how to use and care for your tracker.

(b) For Fitbit Premium, you DO NOT have to purchase. Click on the X (upper left).

(c) Click on the back arrow (upper left) to go back to the main dashboard.

​​5. Connect Fitbit to MyDataHelps
-
(a) Open and log in to MyDataHelps.
-
(b) Click on “Connect Fitbit”.
-
(c) Allow MyDataHelps to use CareEvolution to sign in to Fitbit.
-
(d) Log in to Fitbit.
-
(e) Allow CareEvolution to access Fitbit data by clicking “Allow All”. Click “Done”.
